Hello everyone,
We’re back with another Developer Diary. Today, we’ll be talking about Mobs and Bandit Camps.
Players who have experienced Calradia Online or are familiar with strategy games will already have a general idea about these systems. However, we’ll explain everything as if you’re completely new to the genre.
What Are Mobs?
Mobs are AI-controlled units that spawn on the world map and can be attacked by players.
By defeating them, you can earn:
- Honor
- Gold
- Valuable items for your hero
Mob Types in Lords & Empires

Currently, there are four types of mobs in the game:
- Marauders
- Bandits
- Raiders
- Deserters
Each mob type is divided into:
- Different levels
- Different difficulty categories
When they appear on the map, they are displayed with:
- A level indicator
- A color code representing their strength
This allows you to quickly assess how dangerous they are before engaging.
Mob Composition
Each mob group consists of three unit types:
- Frontline units (main defense and damage)
- Ranged units (support from a distance)
- Flank units (speed and side attacks)
This structure makes battles more strategic and dynamic.
More to Discover: Boss Mobs
In addition to regular mobs, there are also special boss mobs that offer greater rewards.
Instead of explaining them here, we’d prefer you to discover them in-game.
Bandit Camps
Bandit Camps are structures that appear in city regions and periodically attack players.
What makes them different is simple:
👉 You can attack them directly.
Camp Mechanics
- Defeating a camp does not remove it immediately
- It enters a cooldown period
- Then returns at a higher level
If you manage to:
👉 defeat a camp at its maximum level,
it will stop attacking you.
However, this is not permanent. Over time, it will rebuild its strength and become a threat again.
Cooperation Matters
You don’t have to face Bandit Camps alone.
Players in the same city can:
- Communicate
- Launch coordinated attacks
- Defeat camps together
This system makes cooperation and building alliances within a city highly important.
That’s all for today.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
See you in the next Developer Diary!
