Hello everyone!
Last week we mentioned that we would talk about some of the recent changes made to the game. Today we would like to take a closer look at the visual and interface improvements we implemented in Lords & Empires.
🏘️ From 2D to 3D
One of the biggest changes we made was converting the village view from a 2D structure into a fully 3D environment.
In the previous 2D system, our ability to improve the visuals was quite limited and the village felt somewhat static. With the new 3D system, we can now:
- Add animations to buildings
- Create a more lively and immersive atmosphere
- Improve the overall visual quality of the game
This transition took a significant amount of development time, but the results were definitely worth the effort.

🎮 Main UI
We have also redesigned the main user interface of the game.
The simple UI we previously used has now been replaced with a more modern interface style, similar to what you see in many modern strategy games today. This not only improves the overall look of the game but also makes navigation clearer and easier for players.
📑 Sub Panels
All sub panels such as the messages, level screen, support panel, and similar menus have been redesigned from scratch.
Our goal with these changes was to provide:
- A cleaner and more readable layout
- Faster access to important information
- A design that aligns with modern game standards
🧭 Game Panels
Naturally, the changes did not stop there. All major panels in the game have been redesigned from top to bottom.
Although these changes might look small at first glance, they required a considerable amount of work behind the scenes. While this process slowed down our work on gameplay mechanics for a short time, we believe the overall quality improvement was well worth it.

🔜 Next Week
There are also several improvements we haven't talked about yet. In the next developer diary, we will go over the new UI updates for building features such as:
- Resource collection
- Information panels
- Upgrade interfaces
- Special building features
Stay tuned for next week’s developer diary!
⚔️ See you next week.
Note: All content shared about the game is still under development. Mechanics and visuals may change partially or completely in the final version.
